Am I Blue Lyrics
Artist: Ella Fitzgerald
Am I blue
Am I blue
Ain't these tears in my eyes tellin' you
Am I blue
You would be too
If your plans with your man
Done fell through
There was a time
I was the only one
And now I'm the sad and lonely one, lonely, lonely
Was I gay, until today
Now he's gone and we're through
Am I blue
Oh, you know I'm blue
Oh, you make me, make me so blue
Ain't these tears in my eyes tellin' you
Oh, you makin' me so blue
You know, you know, know you do
Now my plans with my man
They done fell through
There was a time
That I was his only one
And now I'm the sad and lonely one, lonely
Was I gay, until today
But now he's gone and we're through
Am I blue

Comments/Interpretations
Linda! essa música é especialmente linda...
uma das minhas preferidas com Ella.
this song has gotten me through some lonely martinis. a classic. timeless.
A song for the broken hearted
I hae heard these lyrics before, but never investigated until I read "Am I Blue by Alice Walker.
Simply "TIMELESS."
Believe it or not, I first heard of this song when I saw Batman singing it in Justice League Unlimited. And yeah, it's amazingly beautiful.
I know right I watched it on justice league. It, was, beautiful. *Crying*
I first heard it on justice league, now I'm in love with it.
Heard this song sung by batman in JL as mentioned above..
Like quite a few have mentioned in the comments already, my first time hearing this song was when batman (voiced by Kevin Conroy) sung it. I felt it resonated with batman's character because in many interpretations of him he does end up alone because of the nature of his work. Brilliantly written
Rip Kevin Conroy!
